This weekend Josh and I took a “babymoon” of sorts and camped in Buena Vista, CO.

We stayed on the Arkansas River and Josh fished.

We drove up Cottonwood Pass to the Continental Divide.

Drove through the mountains and took some short hikes.

We read books, took naps and enjoyed the local farmers market.

Although lately I’ve been moving slower than my average, I’ve enjoyed taking my time.  Folding the laundry, cooking a meal, reading a book.  Noticing the small things and enjoying the slowness.  Sitting still and paying attention to the baby’s movements.

Tonight we finished a small project for the nursery.  While my sister was here visiting we decided on a nature/Aspen tree theme for the baby’s room and she was amazing in helping me paint, design hand-painted trees for the walls and organize.  So tonight Josh and I finished the tree-branch/bird mobile.  I’m pleased with how it turned out.  Our nursery-in-progress:

There are still curtains to be made, closets to be organized and baby-things to be laundered.  I think I’ll take it slowly;)
